Players
The creation of the Cité de l’Économie et de la Monnaie already involves a large number of players. The Banque de France project team is working together with two high-level bodies chaired by Marc-Olivier Strauss-Kahn: the steering committee and the scientific council. It also receives contributions from specialized working groups: project content, practical implementation or ad-hoc themes. Specific bodies, such as the competition jury, also played a key role. This section presents some of these players.
Partners
The Banque de France took the initiative of creating a Cité de l’Économie et de la Monnaie. From the outset, it wished to seek the advice of experts and outside bodies concerned by the contents of the Museum. Fruitful cooperations were set up, in particular with the ministries concerned, the numerous other central bank museums throughout Europe and the world, the French coin museums, and museums which, like the Cité de l’Économie et de la Monnaie, present so-called “intangible” contents.
