Geoeconomics : emerging countries change the world

Géoéconomie : les pays émergents changent le monde

The 4th edition of the Geopolitics and Geoeconomics Festival was held in Grenoble, from March 8th until March 11th, 2012. This year, three days of conferences enabled the public to study the theme: “Emerging countries change the world. China, Brazil, India.”.

These three emerging countries witnessing economic maturation – China, Brazil and India – were studied during conferences, round tables, workshops, movie projections, forums and exhibitions. Many speakers reflected on the concept of emergence and on its impact on economics, finance and politics. The emerging countries’ influence on world’s economy and the responses to these evolutions by the Western world, which experiments an ongoing crisis, were also analyzed.

The festival addressed the general public and was held on the premises of Grenoble Ecole de Management, on those of the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Grenoble and of Sciences Po Grenoble. Prizes of the Geopolitics book and of the International Management book were also presented during the festival.

The festival was organized by the Anteios Association, gathering geopolitics teachers, the business school Grenoble Ecole de Management, and the Presses Universitaires de France.
